The structure of the department:
• Sector of operation and software
• Sector digitizing documents
Main activities:
• Provides the automated library-information system "Irbis-64" in the units of the library.
• Monitors the technical condition of the computers and peripheral
equipment.
• Work is underway to upgrade the network.
• Organizes advice and guidance to the staff at the EIC introduction of new products at the workstation.
• evaluate and implement best practices for the organization and libraries functioning of Computer, Application of new information technology and improve library information service to the readers using a computer technology and the Internet.
In 2009, the structure of the Department was organized the Sector for digitizing documents
implementation of works on creation of digital libraries, digital collections, ensuring their safety, building fund for CDs services that require the use of electronic equipment.
